You may have heard there’s a new version of Sourcery available. Let’s talk about what that means for you! 

If you’re a Researcher who studies material from archives, Sourcery creates an easy workflow to request scans from multiple institutions and from a distance. Sourcery helps you collect important documents for your research or explore new collections. Just create an account and start requesting! Right now, we have Sourcerers available in New York City and Boston to claim your request and make the scans for you. Need materials from somewhere else? Let us know! Bottom line:  Sourcery provides a cost and time effective alternative to research trips. 

If you’re someone who enjoys handling archival material, you can be a Sourcerer, and use your specialized skills to generate extra income. Set your own schedule, explore local collecting institutions, and advance your archival skills all through Sourcery. Want to be a Sourcerer in a different city? Let us know! Bottom line: Sourcery is a great opportunity for humanities, archives, and library professionals at every level to help advance research projects while making extra money.  

Want to request scans from a distant city AND be a Sourcerer in your local archives? You can do that! You can toggle between Requester Mode and Sourcerer Mode anytime.  

Work at an institution that houses processed archival collections? When our Institutional accounts are available, you can increase your reach to non-local researchers without requiring lengthy and expensive digitization projects or additional strain on archivist labor. Sourcery also provides a new way for your organization to make some extra money, access rich usage analytics, and communicate with researchers directly, all through one simple, easy-to-use website.
